Even strict regulations cannot prevent that oil spills are happening over and over again. To combat the spread of the oil, various surfactants, emulsifiers or dispersants are often applied to dissolve the oil on the water surface leading to a distribution of fine oil drops in the water column to improve the access for natural microorganism, which are capable to degrade the oil. But the adverse effect of this method is that the fine emulsion drops are sinking towards and enriching in the soil, which can lead in a consequence to a strong inhibition of the natural degradation of the oil.

The product

Oelcompress^PLUS is a liquid, surface-active product, which is used to compress extensive oil spills and stains on water surfaces.Due to the enormous spreading effect Oelcompress^PLUS is also highly effective by extremely thin oil film (‘rainbow’ effects).

The application

Oelcompress^PLUS is sprayed undiluted with hand sprayers or other atomizers around the surface.

The by Oelcompress^PLUS compressed oil can easily be removed from the water surface using simple technical tools as oil barriers, adsorption material or vakuum pumps.

For the protection of the shore and coast: Oelcompress^PLUS is sprayed along the shore forming an Oelcompress^PLUS - barrier, keeping the oil away from the shore area.

Application quantity

The application quantity depends on the kind of water and oil surface, wave and wind conditions, the temperature and the kind of which needs to be compressed. The concentration in the water generally does not exceed 1 ppm if used appropiated. If used responsible, Oelcompress^Plus is harmless to humans and the environment.
